Immunofluorescence is a widely used immunohistochemical technique that makes use of fluorophores to visualize the location of proteins within cells. Immunofluorescence can be used on tissue sections, cultured cell lines, or individual cells. This technique has proven to be a powerful tool for determining the cellular distribution of known antigens in frozen tissues.
