Dendritic Cell Antibodies
Dendritic cells are professional antigen presenting cells. These cells bridge the gap between the innate and adaptive immune systems by acting as sentinels throughout the body to capture, process, and present antigen to T cells. In addition to activating T cells, dendritic cells are thought to play a role in guiding the differentiation of regulatory T cells as well as the development of T cell tolerance. Dendritic cells exist as an extremely heterogeneous mixture of sub-populations. These subsets are broadly classified into two major subsets: the inflammatory or infection-derived dendritic cells, which develop from monocytes in response to stimulation, and the steady-state dendritic cells, which are present at all times. Bio X Cell offers antibodies which specifically deplete dendritic cells as well as antibodies which stimulate or inhibit proteins or pathways directly involved in dendritic cell biology.
