B Cell Antibodies

B cells are an integral part of the adaptive immune response and provide humoral immunity by secreting antibodies. B cells also present antigens and secrete cytokines. B cell development begins in the bone marrow and continues in the spleen. In the spleen B cells differentiate into either follicular B cells or marginal zone B cells. From there naïve B cells become activated after binding to an antigen. Finally, B cells differentiate into short-lived plasmablasts for immediate protection, and long-lived plasma cells and memory B cells for persistent protection. Bio X Cell offers several antibodies which specifically deplete B cells including anti-B220 and anti-CD19 as well as antibodies which stimulate or inhibit proteins or pathways directly involved in B cell biology.
