About InVivoMAb polyclonal llama IgG
The polyclonal llama IgG is purified from normal llama serum. Camelids express antibodies lacking a light chain called heavy chain-only antibodies (HCAbs). Llama IgG2 and IgG3 are HCAbs while IgG1 is conventional IgG with light and heavy chains. HCAbs constitute approximately 50% of the IgG in llama serum and as much as 75% of the IgG in camel serum. Llama IgG purified by Protein G will be predominantly IgG1 and IgG3.
