InVivoMAb anti-human/bovine LDLR
The C7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and bovine low-density lipoprotein receptor LDLR, a type I membrane protein. LDL is the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein in plasma. Cell surface LDLR controls the level of cholesterol in plasma by binding to and internalizing LDL and transporting it to lysosomes where the LDL is degraded. Mutations in LDLR are associated with familial hypercholesterolemia which is characterized by high levels of LDL in the blood.
